HGTV's "Extreme Building"

In July of 2007, Ski Chairs #001 & #002 were filmed as part of an episode of HGTV’s newest series, “Extreme Building.” This was part of a show featuring the Vogel’s primary residence in Evergreen, Colorado. Of particular interest to the producer (and the script) was the story of how the Colorado Ski Chair Company came into existence.  Tessa and Glenn were interviewed together on the chairs, and told the story.  The air date for this episode has not yet been released.

Helly Hansen Ski Wear Photo Shoot

In January 2008, sportswear company Helly Hansen brought it’s professional ski and snow boarding team to the mountains of Colorado for it’s annual catalogue photo shoot. The entire team was photographed at the Summit House, the Vogel family’s private residence. Many of the photos taken of these world class athletes were taken on the two ski chairs suspended in the great room.
